Not my favourite of Anderson’s films, it’s doesn’t really feel like anything though the (pre?) teen love story is sweet the young cast aren’t great actors (though that may be Anderson’s choice to make it feel more real).

Inspired by true events where Hasidic Jews were recruited to smuggle ecstasy from Europe to America; an easy watch, it tracks the loss of a young man’s faith after being exposed to a more material life as he earns good money as a drug mule.

Doesn’t live up to the highs of the first two in the trilogy (yes, there are only three), but it’s still a fun ride with John McClane at the helm.

A fantastic biopic of the group NWA and racism in the 90s; Cube was always my favourite member of the band and is played excellently here by his son O’Shea, really capturing his likeness as do the rest of the cast in their respective roles.

“OK, what asshole couldn’t get on the chair right?”
For a film that takes place almost entirely on a ski lift chair suspended 50 feet above the slopes, there’s only a few moments of real tension, as the threat mostly comes from freezing to death — there’s some grizzly scenes that are handled well but it’s never enough to really excite.
