Tough to watch, a bloody and harrowing story of troops in Vietnam, the cinematography isn't great but several scenes are forever burned into my memory.

A great bank robbery movie, sensitive, progressive, and gritty, it's a tense film with plenty of (justified) paranoia.
The Deer Hunter

Tough and sparse, it's an unforgiving film that you can't take your eyes off — a classic for a reason.
Pocahontas
"You think I'm an ignorant savage and you've been so many places — I guess it must be so, but still I cannot see if the savage one is me"
I had such a huge crush on Pocahontas when I was a kid so maybe that's coloured my impression of it but I still really enjoy this romantic musical.
