Trippy, another time travel movie whose idea is greater than it's execution, but hell if it doesn't try, it's a movie that'll spark a thousand conversations.

Slow and plodding, it's artfully executed with a terrific performance by Essie Davis, but it just didn't strike a chord with me.

Based whole cloth on a fallacy which is usually enough to sink a film for me, but in this case the cast is so charming and capable in this thrilling story that it just doesn't matter.

Cartoonishly violent, this ultra stylistic graphic novel adaption is a crazy noir romp that feels decidedly more camp than deadpan, keeping faithful to the source.

It's not subtle, but it never made any promises of being so:  it's brash, loud, and depraved, but brilliant and oh so much fun; Scorsese and DiCaprio at their best.
