David Fincher, Jeff Cronenweth, Trent Reznor, and Atticus Ross work together perfectly to create a hauntingly distant atmosphere and haven't had a dud yet; Gone Girl is no exception, shot almost like a horror movie, this has a fantastic twist — it's callous and excellently acted.
David O Russell's best film by a long shot: a scathing satire with enough action to make it roll along at a clip and never once feel tired or trite.
A surreal and chilly film, not without brilliance — every shot is a work of art, a poem on medieval existence.
"Eat it slow, you'll never have your first beignet ever again"
A love letter to food — no matter its complexity — fatherhood, and oddly social media; this is as close to perfect as a modern movie has come in the last few years.
Plodding but gripping, a fantastic turn by all involved, can't wait to see what each does next.
