The first Star Wars movie to make me understand the hype, the others are hot garbage in comparison to this — everything about the film is done on an unprecedented scale, and despite a few completely unnecessary and cringe-inducing throwbacks it’s a spectacular film (Daisy Ridley is in particular awesome, as is they way they subvert the normative saviour/damsel gender roles).
